FBI director says review of new Clinton emails has “not changed our conclusions” that she should not face charges. https://t.co/mf7H2SlA4w

Ten days ago, FBI Director James Comey delivered a massive “October Surprise” when he announced that the FBI was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of her emails due to the discovery of new emails “pertinent to the investigation” (discovered because Anthony Weiner is a pedophile creep). This sent a massive shockwave through the election, tightening up the polls — Five Thirty Eight had had Hillary at an 83% chance to win, which quickly decreased to just 65%.
Essentially, Comey has pissed everybody off at this point. When he decided not to bring charges against Hillary in July, the Right was furious. When he announced the reopening ten days ago, the Left was rattled.
And when he announced Hillary has been cleared once again yesterday, everybody was pissed.
Comey must be under enormous political pressure to cave like this and announce something he cant possibly know.

James Comey totally botched the last 10 days of the 2016 campaign https://t.co/Yyc2pV2ja0 via @thefix

Absolutely, I think we all agree Comey mishandled this from the beginning.

It’s hard to see how James Comey could have handled this last 9 days worsehttps://t.co/KoOXBkHuIX

From my experience, when people on both sides hate you that’s actually a good sign. Fuck everybody, do your own thing. Love that approach. So Riggsy’s inclined to side with Comey here. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one?
Look, the Left wants everyone to believe that Comey only announced the newly discovered information in a political effort to affect the election. The Right wants you to believe he only cleared Hillary yesterday because he’s protecting his political future. Because the election is “rigged.”
We heard they’ve already printed books of crooked being madam president. Listen y’all, we can beat this rigged system, get out & vote Trump pic.twitter.com/tugRh2t6hF

From my vantage point, I believe Comey found himself in a really shitty spot and handled it the best way he believed possible. Was it the most efficient or the most fair or the most ideal? Not really sure. History will be the judge. But what really matters is whether or not Comey did what he believed was the best and the right thing to do, because that’s what he was hired to do, and I see no evidence suggesting he did not.
When both sides hate you, you’re A-OK in my book.
